Newquay’s dedicated volunteers have literally pushed the boat out for the 100th time this year. Proving they are every ready and committed to respond to an emergency the crew abandoned their families and took the boats to sea. At approximately 18:45 hrs on Tuesday 11th October 2011 Falmouth Coastguards received a 999 call from a member of the public reporting a surfer in difficulties off Towan beach.
